We continue to be pleased and amazed with the
work performed by Damgaard Photography. Tom
captured the spirit and personality of our wedding
day perfectly. He documented the most touching
moments of our day while being completely
unobtrusive.
We told Tom that the most important aspect of our
wedding photography was to have a “portrait”
style shot of the two of us that would become a
focal point in our home. Tom not only provided us
with such a shot, he took his own time to scout for
the perfect setting in the vicinity of our wedding
venue. The setting he found enhanced and vivified
the Scottish theme of our wedding.

to "elope," but have our children present with us
at a small beach ceremony.
Tom was our choice for photographer, he met us
at our residence and started taking photos right

Your wedding is one of the most important days of your lives together. It goes without saying you need to carefully select the photographer who will
document the event the way you want to remember it. I believe that is one of the biggest advantages of selecting Damgaard Photography for your
special day. I'll spend time to get to know you both. I'll learn about your style, your desires, the things about your wedding you want to bring
attention to...and maybe some things you don't. When I say "it's your day" I mean it. I work for you, and you alone.
Keeping things light is a very important part of the process, and one I am very good at. Having a big camera in your face can make anyone uneasy
and often act unnaturally. I love to laugh, have fun and make things light, and I'll work hard to put you, your family and your guests at ease in the
process. My ability to put people at ease helps me get good candid images for you and I take great pride in that.
I'll work hard to get the crossways glance, the grin, the gently wiped away tear...those spontaneous moments happening constantly and so easily
missed if you're not looking. As years pass and you look back at your day those are the shots you will treasure. Many of us won't have all of our
family and friends gathered all together like this again, which makes it even more important to capture those moments.
Of course we'll do the traditional posed shots after the service, I love doing those as well and strive to make them creative and unique. Each couple
has their distinct personality and flavor and we'll work together to capture your energy in those shots as well. Again, good communication and a
plan helps make things less stressful and less stress equals more natural images.
I'm a perfectionist. I didn't get the title "The Obsessive Photographer" by accident, and shooting your wedding is only half the job. I spend hours
going through each of the images taken and process each selected shot to make it as beautiful as you are. This is a long and painstaking process
but a satisfying one. I get as excited as you will when I see "The" shot and I take each one very seriously...for both of us. Again, "it's your day", and
I'll do my best to give you heirloom quality images to remember it by.
